John is a certified Guitar Specialist from the Berklee School of Music, and a veteran of the Rocky Mountain Song School, where he has studied songwriting with Josh Ritter, Dr. Ysaye Barnwell, Mary Gauthier and Richard Shindell.
John uses a strenghth-based approach to his teaching, while grounding his students in the fundamentals of guitar study, especially tone production and solid technique.
